(Credits to Txori for the current Goku sprite sheet from the Baxton download page. I used that as a base to start off my character since I'm still new to character creation for Baxton)
For those who don't know (ALOT DON'T) Sage Fighters is a homage to anime in general, just a fan project I've been working on for a while now and it includes characters from different franchises (including dragonball) and few ocs belonging to me and a couple of my friends.
His Origin:
Marvestal (his alias) was born with insane power and potential at a young age. His mother trained him like crazy since he was 5 years old, making him perform tasks that no mere human could manage at that age, from situps over a volcano using one elbow, to running miles upon miles around a pencil, to so forth training, slicing through trees and further extending his strength. On his 14th birthday, he was informed on a prophecy by his mother that he would have to fight the most powerful Zulzonian, Zultron (Zulzonian Race, basically humanoid demon trolls). With this, young marvestal began an intense training routine for the upcoming year, soon to be his 15th birthday. On that day Marvestal found his girlfriend, Meg, wounded and held by collar by none other than Zultron himself. They both fought long and hard, on and on with Meg on the sidelines. Marv using everything he's learned has proved much upuntil Zultron reveals his ultimate form(Demon-Sage). Marv is low on power and he can't take much more damage. Just when Zultron is about to finish him off, Megan pushes Marvestal out of the way in an attempt to sacrifice herself to save him. This leaves Marv in an emotional shock as he starts to realize what the prophecy really meant. Zultron while enraged curses the day, because he needed her power to bring back his entire race. He uses the moment to anger Marvestal, taunting him, because he knows of the prophecy as well, and as overconfident as they come, pushes Marv's emotions severely. He thinks by doing this, he'll force Marv to use an even greater power, which he can take from him and revive his race. Marvestal in a fit of rage yells his loved one's name as he transforms into the great and powerful spider-sage. With his new found power, he pumbles Zultron to death. The fight goes on for a while, marv kicks him into outer space. Zultron reveals that he poised Marv sometime during their fight and with that, Marv realises that he has to end the fight quickly. The clash with a beam struggle, and Marvestal passes out similar to Goku when he fought beerus, and again as similar to so, Marvestal sees images of his loved ones and summons the power to go Spider-Sage once more and finishes Zultron off. With victory at hand, Marvestal smiles and just before passing out, he sends the last remaining bit of his energy to Meg (from outer space!) and crashes to earth. Meg wakes up and heals Marv, and he takes her back to his family's home to celebrate. To be continued..

Update (8/31/2022)
Here's a w.i.p. of my new few characters which are just my friends oc's made into the game (1st one is named Ryuji and 2nd one is named Articole), also have a new unreleased character; Zultron (Teen Marvestal's enemy)
Update as well: I finished 2 chapters for my upcoming "Devolution" (I won't show images of this yet since I want the full release to be genuine and somewhat surprising!

Finished 3 new characters and there will be additions as well as 2 new characters in DLC pack 2
Current update: All progress has been on hold for months now. I forgot about these and took a break to work on other smaller projects. Will return soon! I’ll be revising all of these as I want to improve my pixel art and create a better roster! Expect greatness soon!
