Awww... I responded to you, and then I accidentally pressed ctrl+w instead of ctrl+x (both keys are contiguous on French keyboard), so it closed everything without a prompt...
So let's do it again... 🫤

There are a lot of good things in this lovely Mario, but it lacks a lot to be perfect:

• For starters, optimize this sprite sheet. You are using 30 boxes out of 80.
• Be careful with your sprite position. In most animations, it is not centered. Do not hesitate to press SPACEBAR to compare your current animation to the Stand position.
• I love the bounce back animation 😁
• Hurt: it's hard to see what's going on with the legs. Maybe you should do the same as the death animation in the game and go full-frontal:
  
• Stun: he should be hurt, or on his knees.
• Fighting Stance: He should look ready to fight. Serious look, arms away from the body...
• Attack: Add some movement for anticipation in those legs, just like the Attack Forward animation.
• Quick Attack: He's Speedrun Mario, this attack should be lightspeedo.
• Load Energy: Mario Should be building speed. So you should use your Protection animation here and do something else for Protection.
• All fire animations: He should fire with the arm he was using for charging fire, a bit like Vegeta. Not punching with the other hand.
• Introduction: He should appear and show he's ready for speedrunning: ITSAMEEEEEE!!!
• Winner: He should break the game and teleport away 😛
• Loser: Loser animation means he lost at the end of the timer. It doesn't mean that he is dead on the floor.
• Mini poses: Center those in the box. And mini poses are always 50% of the stand size. Like that:
  
  

To conclude, you are on a great start. The idea of using Speedrun Mario is excellent, but it lacks a lot to be finished. Try to improve it 😉
