Hey! If anyone recognizes me, I used to be active on this site a lot back in 2019-2020, making BASTON characters as well as some character sprites for Devolution (though by now, some of them have been replaced/redone). However, I lost my password for a long time, and only NOW just got the ability to access my account again.

Anyway, I plan on making characters for every single person from Demon Slayer, and then a story mode for Demon Slayer, on Baston! And I've started off with a very odd choice, but a personal favorite character of mine, Gyokko.

Gyokko is a very strange character, and as such, plays very strangely. In his base form, he doesn't have a lot of movement options: he's slow, he can't jump, and he can't even perform a rush attack. However, he makes up for this in his weird abilities. Most importantly, he can retreat into his vases. This allows him to reduce his hitbox or completely vanish while charging or blocking, and when dashing, he can "teleport" by vanishing as well, until he reappears. Gyokko also has a ton of various abilities, such as shooting paralyzing water bullets, attacking with long-range tentacles, or firing needles.

In his true form, Gyokko trades a lot of his weird abilities for power and mobility. Not only can you jump, but you move fast and punch hard. However, you lose the ability to vanish, can no longer stun the opponent with water, and your range is reduced overall.

Yo sinceramente no soy muy fan de Demon Slayer, pero me encanta como trasladaste la magia de la serie a Baston.

It will be perfect for when I have the time to finish the new BASTON. Honestly, I haven’t worked on it since receiving a dumb anonymous message from so-called fans last June... But I'm still motivated to finish it. I just don't have the time right now due to personal, complicated reasons. I just hope I won't be harassed by angry people again when I return to it.

I'm glad to see you back specially with this amazingly done fighter. You haven't lost your iconic touch at all, it's the same Cairns I looked up to when I started on Baston 😁

Eventhough I'm not familiar with the Demon Slayer series I got very invested in this character. You also managed to make it so interesting and fun to play as with that moveset. It's a 10 out of 10 for me!
