Sometimes, a fighter clips through the floor.
We need to figure out exactly what's happening when that occurs, so I can understand the cause and fix it.
My current suspicion is that it’s related to the bounce-back effect when they get punched.
I was able to reproduce that bug. Maybe it has been fixed by the change to detect the ground in order to prevent the came from jittering.
This needs testing.
So, has nobody managed to clip through the floor anymore? Can I close that bug?
I managed to reacreate the bug of players falling through the terrain. I'm not exactly sure what causes it, only that it happens sometimes when attacking a character while falling straight down on them, with no left or right momentum for either character.
Sorry if this isn't too helpful. Is there anything specific I should be testing for when trying to recreate it?
Perfect, that’s super helpful. So now the clipping only happens when the fighter is stunned, or maybe because of the force applied when they’re punched with enough momentum.
Was that a normal attack or a dash?
And why is your other fighter attacking while falling through the ground?
They weren't stunned, they were just in their default pose when I hit them. I'm not sure why they attacked, it could just be because the AI was still trying to fight me like normal as they clipped through the terrain.
It was not a dash. I jumped up above them, then used a normal "downward" attack as I fell.
